Water Retention and Testosterone: Managing Bloat

Water retention, also known as bloating, is a common side effect of testosterone use in athletes and bodybuilders. It occurs when excess fluid builds up in the body’s tissues, leading to a puffy and swollen appearance. However, diuretics should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional, as they can have potential side effects and may interact with other medications.

5. Adjust Testosterone Dosage

Lowering the dosage or switching to a different form of testosterone, such as a topical gel, may help reduce bloating.
